April 20, 2018
Colts,
Wow, what a busy week! We've had everything from field trips, including the Main Street Art Festival and the Fort Worth Zoo, to a number of UIL (University of Interscholastic League) events, including band, tennis, and soccer. Our Symphonic and Honors band traveled to perform and both of our groups earned Sweepstakes awards! We will wrap up the week's activities with a fun night for our students at the Spring Social thanks to our amazing PTA!
With our constant trips, class activities, tutoring, and daily teaching comes a lot of preparation and hard work by staff members. Behind every event, you will find a dedicated staff member that invests so much of their time in our Colts. Education is a tough job that requires a lot of knowledge, patience, empathy, and skill. I hope you join me and our PTA in helping celebrate our hard working teachers during Teacher Appreciation Week next week for their efforts with what we hold closest to our hearts: our children.
Enjoy your weekend!

CMS Run for Jax
CMS is hosting a color run to support Jax Fisher and his family. Jax has been battling cancer this year, and, as his CMS family, we want to be supportive.
It’s sure to be an AWESOME time for Jax and our students! Participants will have powdered color thrown at them as they run; afterward, they will get to spend some time outside and listen to music. Food and drinks will also be available for purchase to raise additional funds for the Fischer Family.
The entry fee for students will be a $20 donation. If you'd like to donate more, you are welcome to but not required. With your donation, your student will receive a #CMSStrong t-shirt while supplies last (first 300) to wear on that day and also to support Jax.
