From the Desk of Mrs. Adelman
Hi Warwick Bears!
The Central Bucks School District is committed to providing the safest possible environment for its students and staff. In order to maintain a safe learning environment, we constantly work with state and local police to learn and implement best practices in school safety and security.
Each month we conduct fire drills and throughout the year we conduct other emergency drills. Next week we will be conducting a school security drill. What does this look like for our elementary students? On Friday, I will make an announcement to the students and staff that we will be conducting a drill to lockdown our building. During the drill, staff will discuss safety with students such as active listening to adults during drills and be prepared to make on the spot decisions. Our drill will conclude with a fire drill. The Warwick Police Department has been notified of our drill, and we may have officers in attendance to help us with our security practices.
Please reach out to me with any questions.
Thank you for your constant support!
Mrs. Amy Adelman
Red Ribbon Week
At Warwick we will be having a spirit week during Red Ribbon Week. Please see below for a list of our spirit days - Being Drug Free looks like me...
Halloween!
Central Bucks Elementary Schools have determined a way for us to now allow for food items involved with Halloween Classroom Celebrations to be consumed at school (this is a change from what was communicated originally to homeroom parents. The determination for if and how this will occur will come from respective Homeroom Parents in their work with the respective Classroom Teacher, but those classrooms that engage in food consumption during Halloween Classroom Celebrations will adhere to the following guidelines:
- Food consumption will occur for less than 15 minutes.
- During food consumption, students will be spaced as far apart as feasible.
Additional information about Friday, October 29:
- Our Halloween Parade will begin at 9:30 a.m. The Halloween Parade is weather dependent. If inclement weather occurs on the 29th, we will hold classroom celebrations only.
- Please park at Saint Cyrils (located across the street from Warwick) for the parade. The students will parade through the main parking lot.
- Classroom celebrations will occur after the Halloween Parade. Specific start times will be determined by respective Homeroom Parents and Classroom Teachers. Classroom Teachers will communicate this information to their parents.
Just a friendly reminder that all Halloween costumes should be school appropriate (any costume weapons and/or scary makeup should be reserved for Halloween night at home).
Thank you, and have a wonderful weekend!
