This virtual club will meet via Zoom on Tuesdays from 4:00 to 5:00 beginning October 20th. Cook along with Mrs. Foulke and Mrs. Anestad from your home and prepare some tasty dishes. Some weeks we’ll make dinner and some weeks we'll make baked items. Materials will be the student's responsibility and are not provided for this club. 6th & 8th Grade Schedule for Next Week!
IMMUNIZATION COMPLIANCE FOR ALL PV STUDENTS DUE BY NOVEMBER 8, 2020
Efforts to reduce the transmission of COVID-19 have led to many children not receiving routine preventative medical services. It is vital that all children receive recommended vaccinations on time and get caught up if they are behind as a result of the pandemic. Routine vaccination prevents illnesses that lead to unnecessary medical visits, additional outbreaks of vaccine-preventable diseases, hospitalizations, and further strain on schools, families, and health care systems.
At this time, all Perkiomen Valley students must be compliant with the state vaccine mandates or risk exclusion to school on November 8, 2020. If your child requires vaccines, you have received an email communication from the nurse.
ID Badges
Students are required to wear their ID Badge every day. This ID Badge will be used in the cafeteria, main office, cafeteria, library and counseling center. If a student forgets their ID Badge they will be issued a temporary badge in the main office. If a student loses their ID Badge there is a $5 replacement cost. A replacement lanyard and plastic sleeve is $2.
Student Drop Off
Parents may drop off their student in front of the auditorium entrance from 7:15 - 7:50AM. Please pull all the way down to the end of the curb so that other parents behind you can pull up their car. We ask that your child promptly exit your vehicle. Please maintain a 5MPH speed limit on campus. Once students enter the school building they will need to travel to the auditorium unless your student is having breakfast, in which case your child needs to go to the cafeteria. Seating in the cafeteria and auditorium is marked for proper social distancing. There will be adults throughout the building to assist students with directions. Please see the attached map.
Student Pick Up
Parents may pick up their child after 2:45 PM, behind the school on the bus loading platform. In order to promote social distancing and to properly manage school busses, we have designated this area and time for parent pick up. If you arrive early, there will be parking available in the parking lot across from the bus loading platform. Obviously, you will need to wait until the 2nd Bus Run departs before you can pull around to pick up your student on the bus loading platform. Thank you in advance for your patience and flexibility as we work together to keep all of our students safe. Please see the attached map.
Counseling Groups
The Counseling Center will be offering groups to students starting the next marking period (11/12). Groups are a great way to make social connections and learn skills students will need in life. Students may attend virtually or in person. Below are the offerings for the second marking period.
- Loss 2 (lunch Thursdays) For anyone who has lost any loved one and doesn't want to commit to the full year Loss group.
- Staying Social While Social Distancing (lunch Fridays) for anyone who is having difficulties building or maintaining friendships while we are socially distancing at school or virtually
- Study Skills (ADVISORY Thursdays) for anyone who wants additional help organizing or studying.
Groups are held once a week for one marking period. Please contact Mrs. Hildreth with questions or to sign up your student for any or all of the groups (khildreth@pvsd.org)
