- First day of school - WEAR EAGLE COLORS(Black, gold, and a hint of teal)
- 7:30 - Everyone reports to the Gym
- 1:40 - School ends
- 1:50 - 3:15 Faculty meeting in the MPR

Staff Changes: Goodbyes and Hellos
GOODBYE...
- Jannelle Olivier accepted a new position with the San Diego Unified School District as a Math Professional Development trainer
- Brad Ostrander accepted a Math/Project Lead position with Grossmont Union School District at Chapparal High School.
- Tomas Commetto accepted a Math position with the San Diego Unified School District at Clairemont High School.
- Bereneice Trickett, one of our original Eagles has moved to Eastlake High School. Her daughter still attends Olympian, so we will still see Mrs. Trickett at Olympian events.
HELLO...
- Tony Claudio will be teaching 2 periods of Engineering. He is a retired engineer. Last year he was a parent volunteer in the library. He has a son who will be a 10th grader next year.
- Debra Matzel has accepted a full time Social Science assignment coming to us from Hilltop Middle.
- Elvia Ortiz will be our new cafeteria manager. She is an experienced manager and comes to us from Mar Vista High School.
- Natalio Panzarini will be teaching Science and comes to us from Eastlake Middle.
- Mark Pryz will be teaching Math. He grew up in the South Bay and comes to us from Bonita Vista High School.
- Allison Saiki will also be teaching Math and was one of the members of the DWAST team. She was previously from Montgomery Middle
- Maria Santoyo will be teaching Science. She came from Sweetwater High School as one of the Intervention teachers.

FOR THE COMMON GOOD
- Technology Update: All teachers have received new desktops. Hurray!
- iPad Deployment: Our 9th graders will be receiving iPads on July 22.
- iPad - Board approved at the last meeting for all teachers and counselors to receive iPads. More information to follow.
- Master Schedule Update: We have had several registrations since school ended. We are still clearing students who have not verified residency at this point. The following 1/6ths are available - AP US History and Art Beginning. If you are interested, let me know.
