Week of May 1 - May 5
Staff Development for 17-18 School Year
For those of you who are unable to attend staff development in the summer, remember to utilize Bloomboard.com as a way of getting staff development hours online.
There are several staff members who are interested in providing Staff Development for small groups of staff members. More information to come.
As a campus (all faculty and staff) we will do a book study for our flex hours. The book is Question Behind the Question, and it was recommended by our counselor, Mrs. Luberger. You will receive the book in August.
Changes to Custodial Program
One of the changes will be that there will be a Maintenance crew on staff in the evenings to take care of various items - including some of the work orders that are difficult to get to when students are around.
There have also been changes to the Custodial process, which includes responsibilities, materials and procedures. All SBISD Custodians will be trained over the weekend. Beginning Monday, and for the next couple of weeks, there will be a crew of contractors coming in to monitor and inspect and provide feedback on the new processes. These contractors will have a "contractor badge" and could come either during the day or in the afternoon/evenings. They are aware that there is testing in the district on May 8th, 9th and 10th.
Also, as an FYI, we will be receiving new toilet paper and paper towel dispensers in the near future.
