Cleveland Cavaliers Discount Tickets

After receiving a lot of great feedback from CCS families, our friends from the Cleveland Cavaliers are offering discounted tickets to two more upcoming games. Pick from the game on Friday, December 23, at 7:30 p.m. (vs Toronto Raptors) or Monday, January 16, at 3:00 p.m. (vs New Orleans Pelicans). The games are at the Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse with discounts good on nearly every seat.

Important Dates for the 23-24 School Year
Enrollment for the 2023-2024 School Year
Online Registration can be completed for the 2023-2024 school year beginning on December 19, 2022 with appointments scheduled beginning:
- Middle School and High School enrollment appointments for the 2023-2024 school year will begin on January 4, 2023.
- Elementary School (K-5) enrollment appointments will begin on February 1, 2023.
- Pre-K enrollment appointments for the 2023-2024 school year can be scheduled beginning February 1, 2023 with an appointment date no sooner than April 3, 2023.

School Choice Dates for 2023-2024 School Year
- High School & Middle School Lottery Applications: Accepted via the Parent Portal Wednesday, January 4, 2023 through Tuesday, February 28, 2023. The last date for the acceptance of late lottery applications for students who completed the 2022-23 school year with CCS is August 18, 2023. New students enrolling into Columbus City Schools can submit a lottery application for two weeks after their enrollment date until December 8, 2023.
- Elementary School Lottery Applications: Accepted via the Parent Portal Wednesday, February 1, 2023 through Friday, March 31, 2023. The last date for the acceptance of late lottery applications for students who completed the 2022-23 school year with CCS is August 18, 2023. New students enrolling into Columbus City Schools can submit a lottery application for two weeks after their enrollment date until December 8, 2023.
- Selective Admissions: Applications available to eligible students Monday, January 9, 2023 with a submission deadline of Tuesday, January 31, 2023. Applications must be submitted via the Parent Portal.
- Request to Return to Homeschool Application: Accepted via the Parent Portal Wednesday, January 4, 2023 through Friday, March 24, 2023.
- Reservations: Accepted via the Parent Portal for eligible students from Wednesday, January 4, 2023 through Tuesday, January 31, 2023.
- ROTC: Accepted via the Parent Portal Wednesday, January 4 through Monday, February 20, 2023.

Winter Break is here and it's time for reading challenge!
1- Columbus Metropolitan Library
2- Literacy Pro CCS.
3- READ-A-THON.
Students can participate in all of them for example, they can participate in Literacy Pro Reading Challenge and count their minutes on their READ_A-THON and the Reading Challenge by Columbus Metropolitan Library.
Go to Columbus Metropolitan Library "any branch" and Sign-up for the Winter Reading Challenge. K-12 Students can earn prizes by just reading. Pick up a game board at any library location today! Winter Reading Challenge runs through January 31.

Community Shelter Board Winter Warming Stations Now Open
Community Shelter Board of Columbus offers warming stations for those in need. All Warming Stations have the ability to contact further resources through Mount Carmel Outreach Program at any time. Other resources include follow‐up on shelter access, crisis assistance, and housing assistance with Street to Housing Outreach Collaborative (SHOC).
