A Message from Proud Principal, Laura Clark
I guess the only things Fall related for us is football and hurricane season. These 90 degree temperatures definitely are not Fall like. The weather this time of year is so unpredictable and fortunately Hurricane Dorian took an eastern turn and did not impact our area. Some of you may remember Hurricane Irma in 2017 when our school was closed for 3 days due to wind damage and power outages. Some areas, like the Bahamas, were heavily impacted by Hurricane Dorian and our thoughts go out to the families and communities. As a school district, we are prepared for inclement weather situations and the use of potential Digital Learning Days.
Thank you to all who have participated in our PTA fundraiser. We are so close to making our goal of raising $30,000.00. Currently we have raised $26,957 which is just $3,000 shy of our goal!!. We have the rest of the weekend to meet our goal. Parents may still make donations on MyPaymentsPlus. I am amazed at the generosity of our community and the commitment to Parsons Elementary. As you know PTA is wanting to purchase 30 Chromebooks for our school.
Have a great weekend making special memories with your family.
Proud Principal,
Mrs. Clark

Box Tops
Last year Parsons raised over 2,000 through the Box Tops program! We can do even better this year, but we need your support! Save those Box Tops from home, neighbors, family and friends! BoxTops ladies will be at the front atrium of the school again on Friday, September 13th from 8:20-8:50 am. Please put the trimmed labels in a small bag with the teacher’s name and grade written on the bag. Any student who turns in 5 or more labels will get a PRIZE!
Staff Goody Day (4th and 5th Grade Parents)
Staff Goody Day is hosted by a different grade level each month and is a great way to show Parsons ES teachers and staff how much we appreciate them! Friday, September 20th, 4th and 5th grade parents are invited to send in sweet and savory treats for teachers and staff to enjoy throughout the day. While sweet treats (like donuts, muffins, cookies, chocolates & brownies) and savory snacks (like bagels, chips, popcorn, and cheese & crackers) are always appreciated, the staff is also grateful for healthy options (like protein bars, hummus & pita chips, almonds, fruit, veggies & dip). PTA volunteers will be at the front of the school and at the car pool drop-off lane to collect the goodies that morning.
*PLEASE LABEL IF FOOD CONTAINS NUTS*
