TUTORING
FREE TUTORING SERVICES
APS has received a new tutoring service funded by Chick-fil-A, so it does not cost anything for students. It is available for all K-12 students from 4PM - 11PM for EVERY SUBJECT offered. The tutors can even review papers! To access, students should select the TutorATL app in My Backpack.
JEKYLL ISLAND TRIP
I will send updates out on DOJO throughout the trip, and will also send out DOJO messages as we get closer to school on Friday in case we arrive earlier or later than expected.
Please do NOT allow students to bring cell phones or any other electronic devices. If any child needs to contact their parents due to sickness or injury, they can use my phone or another adult's. However, most students shouldn't need to contact their parents because they will be having a blast!
Please do NOT send your child on the Jekyll trip if he or she is sick, even if it's just a cold. As you can imagine, when 100+ students are in close proximity, it makes it much easier for illnesses to spread.
Last year we had many parents parked along the entrance way, which meant that buses could not enter. So, when picking up your children on Friday, please do NOT block the entrance. Instead, park in an allotted parking space.
Finally, please read through the packing list carefully to ensure your child has everything he or she needs to enjoy the trip.
