A Note from Mrs. Cockrell
Dear Chisholm Trail families,
I would like to thank you for your continued efforts to make Chisholm Trail the amazing community of learners that it is. It is a pleasure to welcome your children into the building every morning. We know that arrival and dismissal can be challenging when we are getting over 360 young learners transitioned into or out of our building safely. You all continue to exhibit patience, caution, and compassion as you drop off and pick up. Thank you for your cooperation and support.
We are excited to invite you to join our final Title 1 meeting this Monday at 6pm. We will be discussing what Title 1 is and how we can work together to create the outstanding learning outcomes for your children. We need your ideas and input to improve our practice every year. We hope you can join us. Our Title 1 Compact and feedback form is included below. Take a look and see what you think and then bring your suggestions to the meeting, or provide feedback on the survey form.
We are also looking for a community member to serve on our Campus Educational Improvement Committee. This time commitment is three virtual meetings. Please email me at ccockrell@sangerisd.net, if you are interested. If you know of a community member (not a CTE parent) who might be interested in serving, please send me his or her contact information.
Watch for details about our annual Turkey Feather contest starting November 9th. Which teacher's turkey will have the most feathers? Your children will be able to purchase a turkey feather for a dollar or by bringing a requested food item to be added to the First Refuge donation organized by Linda Tutt high School. See the flyers below for details. This is a great way to show your gratitude to our teachers as well as our community.
