At Waipawa we value:
PRINCIPAL'S MESSAGE
Kia ora koutou,
We're really just looking ahead to Friday this week and crossing our fingers the weather behaves for our Twilight Gala and Top Schools event. It's been a team effort right across the board. Whanau and Friends have done an amazing job organising the Twilight Gala and the classes have been busy producing all manner of products to sell. The Year 5-8 children had a run through of the Top School activities on Monday. It went down pretty well and has enabled us to make a few changes to each event. A huge thanks to everyone who is helping and we do hope to see as many people as possible on Friday
Ngā mihi nui,
Paul Jamieson

SWIMMING STARTS NEXT WEEK
Waipawa School Swimming
Swimming at the CHB Memorial Pool, Waipawa begins on Monday 28th November until Wednesday 14th December. Each class has a daily 30 minute slot to develop their swimming ability and water safety skills. This year we are lucky to have the support of a team of people from NZ Water Safety to work alongside teachers for 4 sessions per class.
It would be much appreciated if all clothing is clearly named as this makes returning clothes to the correct owner easy. Please could your child have suitable shoes for walking to the pools and a bag to carry their togs and towel. Goggles are optional. Swimming is part of the New Zealand Curriculum and we encourage your child to take part daily.
Kakano parents, please could you let either Jess or Karena know if your child is not confident in the water by Friday. We also need to know if your child is unable to undress/dress themselves independently.

To all our wonderful bakers, please feel free to either drop off your goods to school on Thursday afternoon or during the day on Friday.
