State History

Minnesota became a state on Tuesday, May 11, 1858. 1650-First Europeans visit and map out portions of Minnesota, 1803-The U.S. buys western Minnesota as the Louisiana Purchase, 1825-Fort snelling is established at the confluence of the Mississippi river and Minnesota rivers.
