Proviso High School District 209 and the Proviso Teachers Union (PTU) are pleased to announce we have reached a tentative agreement on the terms of a three-year contract (2021-2024). Classes and extracurricular activities will resume on Monday, March 28, 2022.

In the coming weeks, PTU members will vote to approve the terms of the agreement. The District 209 Board of Education will convene to do the same. Specific contract terms will be available for public release at that time.

The Board, District administrators and teachers look forward to continuing to work together to maintain and enhance the quality of education and fiscal stability of District 209 for the benefit of our students, staff and community.

El Distrito Escolar 209 de Proviso y el Sindicato de Profesores de Proviso (PTU) se complacen en anunciar que han llegado a un acuerdo tentativo sobre los términos de un contrato de tres años (2021-2024). Las clases y las actividades extracurriculares se reanudarán el lunes 28 de marzo de 2022.

En las próximas semanas, los miembros del PTU votarán para aprobar los términos del acuerdo. La Junta de Educación del Distrito 209 se reunirá para hacer lo mismo. Los términos específicos del contrato estarán disponibles para su publicación en ese momento.
