Math โ๏ธโ
Students will be working on learning the properties of multiplication and division with units of 2-5 and 10 with the Eureka Math Curriculum. Students will be using multiple strategies such as arrays and skip counting to solve these problems.
Reading ๐
Throughout September, we are working on routines and strategies to help us be successful readers and writers using the Benchmark Curriculum. Lessons include deciding on just right books, working independently and in groups.
Writingโ๏ธ
Using lessons from the Benchmark Curriculum, students will work on writing in response to reading using both fiction and nonfiction texts.
Social Studies๐
This month, students will work on their understanding of point of view to explain the importance of using multiple sources that represent diverse perspectives. Also, they will have the opportunity to name and explain how a person made a big difference in the community today by working for the common good.
