Extended School Closure
We are committed to providing an excellent education for all students. Our Distance Learning Plan will remain in effect until the last day of the semester, which is Thursday, May 21st.
It is our hope that we will be able to schedule time in late July for students to return to their classrooms to pick up any personal items, clean out their desks, lockers, etc. Of course, this will depend on social distancing regulations.
Know that your families are in our prayers.

Dr. McCoy's Earth Day Challenge
Earth Day is this Wednesday, April 22nd. The theme for Earth Day 2020 is "Climate Action". Climate change represents the biggest challenge to the future of humanity and the life-support systems that make our world habitable.
I challenge all students to Create Eco-Art:
Creating art is an excellent way to spend time indoors and still connect to the Earth. Simply, reuse materials from around the house and create something new, such as jewelry, bags or plant holders. Students can even transform trash into treasure by creating a sculpture out of recyclables.
Zoom links were emailed to parents this past Saturday for students to join me on Wednesday to share their products. This optional activity is also included as this week's STREAM activity. Please visit Mrs. Gutierrez's page for details.
I look forward to seeing our Colts on Wednesday!
Spring Fling Raffle Tickets
Thank you to our Colt families who began selling their Spring Fling raffle tickets that were sent home before Spring Break. Your enthusiasm is appreciated!
We received word from our parish office that all Spring Fling events scheduled for the end of April have all been cancelled. Monies collected from sold raffle tickets need to be returned to the purchaser. Raffle tickets cannot be used for the future due to the printed date on the ticket.
We will share an update with you on the re-scheduling of this fun parish event when we are notified.

Helping our Neighbors in Need
Braes Interfaith Ministries is serving more families than ever and needs our help. They are requesting food items to replenish their pantry so that they can continue to provide for those in need during this coronavirus crisis. With a smaller volunteer staff due to social distancing requirements and for sorting efficiency, they are requesting specific items from each church. Corpus Christi Parish has agreed to ask our parish community for peanut butter and jelly. If you are able to help, please do so at this time.
