A MESSAGE FROM DR. HARRISON
Hello Legacy Families!
We have completed our first full week of school, and we want to send a huge shout out to our Legacy families for continuing to help us establish new routines including drop off and pick up.
We hope that all families will consider supporting our Legacy PTO through our Waves 180 fundraising campaign. This is our largest PTO fundraiser and will help to support many amazing opportunities for our students including field trips, assemblies, school spirit incentives, and much much more. You can use the link directly below to access the PTO Store where you may contribute to Waves 180.
Additionally, our PTO is selling new Spirit Wear for 21-22, but the shop closes Sunday 8/22! Use the link below to purchase your new spirit wear.
Thank you for your ongoing and continued support and thank you for being part of the Legacy Family!
We wish you a wonderful, restful weekend!

Take care and stay safe,
Dr. Harrison, Principal
Reminders For Student Drop-Off And Pick-Up
In an effort to continue to refine and approve, we want to share a few reminders as well as a few adjustments to our procedures. Please read carefully and thoroughly:
HAVE A PLAN
- Have a plan for where you will pick your student up, and make sure your student is clear on the plan
BE PREPARED
- When dropping off, have your student ready to go: backpack in hand, goodbyes already said, etc.
- Please DO NOT have students access their items from the trunk while in the drop-off/pick-up line. If you have things in your trunk, please pull into our parking lot and park.
BE FLEXIBLE
- If your student is not there when you arrive to pick them up, if they don’t seem to be coming out quickly, please pull into the parking lot and park.
BE SAFE
- Please do not use your cell phone while driving in our lot. It is extremely dangerous.
- Please be aware of your surroundings. Watch for students walking and crossing. Safety first!
We are adjusting the cones as you enter our lot to allow for you to pull in and park both before school and after school without having to go through the entire loop. Please be mindful if you use this option, ensure that your student uses sidewalks wherever possible to make their way through our lot. See below for details.
When you enter our driveway (your first left off Legacy Drive), you will now see that you are able to make the left into our lot at the first entry point (yellow arrow).
Once you turn left into the lot, you will make the first right into the small lot of parking spaces (red arrow). You may park in this lot to unload your student and their things.
They will then cross at the top of the lot, closest to the school, onto the sidewalk (pink double arrow), and walk along the sidewalk through the loop (students must stay on sidewalk).
You may also make the right into the parking lot adjacent to the athletic field (teal arrow). Please be advised, using this lot does mean you will have to use the loop to exit the parking lot.
THANK YOU FOR PRACTICING SAFETY AT ALL TIMES WHILE IN OUR PARKING LOT!
Attention 10th Graders
0 Period Begins This Week!
If your student is part of ASB, Yearbook/Journalism, HS Robotics, or the Competition Class, their 0 Period courses begin this coming week, starting on Monday 8/23. 0 Period takes place each day, Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday (no 0 Period on Wednesdays) and is held form 7:30-8:25am. We will open the gate between the front office building and the classroom building at 7:20am for 0 Period students to enter the campus. If you are unsure if you have a 0 period, please check your course schedule in Aeries.
PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU REGULARLY CHECK YOUR EMAIL FOR UPDATES!
1)Go to your parent portal CONTACT SCREEN and assign each contact "general and emergency" or "emergency only."
2) Be sure in every contact's screen, you have entered a cell # and email.
3)Any person you assign "general and emergency" will receive ALL school communication such as Weekly Principal's eNewsletters and automated telephone communication. This change also allows you to select the type of communication you prefer: email, phone, text, or all three if you prefer.
*The "type" of communication you select must have a corresponding cell, email address, etc. entered.
