Just the ticket!

Improvements are ongoing for the historic grandstands at Stewart Field.

AHS students in Cory Martinsen's construction class are building a new ticket booth at the south entrance to Stewart Field. The previous booth was demolished along with a portion of the bleachers to make way for the new support/storage building.

In addition, Mr. Martinsen reports that the Construction II class built counters in the Press Box and will be replacing rotten seat boards in the bleachers. "There's lots of work for us to do over there and we are having fun doing it!" he said.

Great weather for Outdoor School

Big picture
Fifth Grade students from throughout the District traveled to the YMCA's Camp Bishop on Lost Lake for Outdoor School this week. With no cell service, there's plenty of time for camp camaraderie in addition to the outdoor science classes. The camp counselors are AHS students, most of whom attended Outdoor School when they were in grade school.
