Byways September Update

Middle School Byways Update

It has been a great start of the school year. Students have been working hard planning their Quarterly Passion project. The purpose of a passion project is for your child to learn something new or something that they have always wanted to do. They have spent the month choosing a topic, creating a proposal and preparing to accomplish their chosen project at home. Next, we will be learning to 3D print while solving COVID 19 related challenges. Be looking for your child’s Written Education Plan (WEP), they will be bringing them home real soon. Be sure to sign the last page and return to school as soon as possible.

Seventh Grade Immunization

Big picture

Ohio Law requires that all seventh graders must have received multiple immunizations. Before starting school, students in the 7th grade must have a Tdap (Tetanus, Diptheria, and Pertussis) and a Meningococcal vaccine. Written proof of receiving these vaccinations must be on file in the school office. Students who do not have evidence of proper immunizations will be excluded from school after October 15th.

Charge the Chromebooks!

Please make sure your child gets in the habit of charging their chrome books each evening. It is important that they come to school prepared and the chrome books are as important to class as bringing paper and pencils. They will need their computers to fully participate in instruction in most classes.

Clear Water Bottles

Students are permitted to have water bottles in the classrooms. Please make sure that the water bottles are clear.
