San Marcos CISD
High School Diploma + Associate's Degree = Rattler Up
San Marcos CISD is proud to present the inaugural Early College High School (ECHS) Class of 2023! SMHS seniors received scholarships from organizations such as the Rotary Club of San Marcos, Calaboose African American History Museum, Juneteenth Foundation, San Marcos Kiwanis Club and Ofelia Vasquez-Philo Memorial Scholarship committee. Congratulations to our Rattler scholarship recipients.
Mysterious and Spooky, The Addams Family
The Miller Theatre performance of the Addams Family was sure full of frights and laughs. The students, led by Theatre teacher Mike Smith, treated the San Marcos community to four performances over three days this past weekend. Standing ovation to our Miller MS Theater program’s successful weekend of The Addams Family!
District Champions – One Team, One Mission.
The SMHS Rattler Baseball team clinched the 27-6A district championship title on Friday, April 21 after defeating the Steele Knights, 7-2! Prior to beginning their playoff run, the team wraps up district play with the following schedule this week:
Tuesday, April 25 - @ Judson, 7PM
Friday, April 28 - @ San Marcos HS vs. New Braunfels (Senior Night), 7PM
Our Mendez Strikers received a special welcome from the San Marcos High School girls soccer and baseball teams with fist bumps and encouraging words as STAAR testing continues on Thursday, April 20. Thank you to our student athletes for supporting our Strikers prior to testing!
After learning about the American Revolution, our Travis Elementary 1st graders performed a skit where they put their newly gained knowledge into action. Our Texans revolted against Principal Masini, who served as the king, and his $5 recess tax. After the king wouldn't listen to their grievances, the 1st graders used silly string to gain their independence from the king.
SMCISD Shoutout – Webb's 400th Win
Congratulations to San Marcos High School Baseball Coach Bryan Webb for earning his 400th career win on Tuesday, April 18. Webb earned his historical win with a 11-1 victory of Schertz Clemens. On Friday, April 21, Webb earned victory 401 and a 27-6A District Championship!
