A Note From Mrs. Waters
We will have our annual thanksgiving celebration of stone soup on Tuesday. This will be a lesson on sharing and being thankful. To make the soup, we need everyone's help! Your child has a letter in his/her green home folder telling what he/she signed up to bring. Please bring in the item by Tuesday morning. We will be making the soup first thing to let it simmer until lunch. The celebration will be during lunch at 11:30 and will be our thanksgiving party.
Next week is a short week as there is no school on Wednesday and Thursday. Please remember that Tuesday is a full day with dismissal at 3:00. Since it is a short week, there will be no homework. You should still read with your child daily, and you could play a math game with them.
On Tuesday they will have their PE as their special in the afternoon and will be swimming. Please send in your child's swim bag on Tuesday as well as Monday next week.
Is anyone an amateur photographer and/or has a good quality camera? Ayan, our room parent, is looking for some help for 1B's Friendship Festival auction item. Please let one of us know if you could help. You would need to come into school to take a few specific photos (Ayan will let you know more information). This needs to be done before the winter break so that it can compiled and get it printed during the break.
We will be starting a new reading unit next week. Please read the attached unit letter.
