This is a quick little video that welcomes you to Origami Owl and gives you some GREAT tips on how to jumpstart your new business!

Why did you decide to become a Designer with Origami Owl? Always keep that reason in your mind and in your heart and you will achieve success.

We all know that Origami Owl was started by the hopes and dreams of a 14 year old girl named Bella Weems. She really wanted a car, and with the support and help from her mom, her dreams came true. Check out these links to give you more information about how Origami Owl started:

Origami Owl's Mission Statement:

TO BE A FORCE FOR GOOD, TO LOVE, TO INSPIRE, AND MOTIVATE WOMEN OF ALL AGES, TO MAKE A DIFFERENCE IN THE LIVES OF OTHERS, TO REACH THEIR DREAMS AND TO EMPOWER THEM.

Origami Owl's Core Values

Let's Get the Ball Rolling......

Our "Family Tree"

First of all, lets talk about our "Family Tree" so you know who people are talking about when names are being thrown out there!

Origami Owl has 7 Designers who are the "Direct to Corporate Designers"

Jane Alger, Tami and Madi Butcher, Kimberlie Harrell, Heidi Russell, Karla Savage, Maggie Stephens, and Kristine Stevens.

We all fall under one of these lovely ladies, who I call the "Supreme Mother Owls"

We, my dear Owlet, are part of Tami Butcher's nest. Tami and Madi are an amazing Mother Daugher Team! Tami will send out an email to you once a month, and also does a monthly team conference call.

Here is what your lineage may look like: (using my team and me as an example)

1.Tami Butcher- Senior Director "Team Believe"

2. Robyn Torres- Director "Team FAB- Faith & Always Believe" -Robyn is my Mentor and I love her!

3. Krista Saysanam- Executive Team Leader "Team True Believers"

4. You or your Mentor? WOW!!

As you can see, you are not down a line of so many leaders that you will get lost in the mix or will get so confused by names and scratch your pretty head wondering, "Who is she?" It is pretty special to know that only a few leaders are above you ;) Can you say ground floor opportunity?

Check out O2's Career Plan! If your goal is to build a team, then check out what awaits you on the career plan. EXCITING!

Where do you see yourself in 3 months? 6 months? On your 1 year Owlversary?

The Juicy Info- Now Let's Really Get Started!

Ok, so now that you know about the company, where you stand in the company, now let's talk about what to do next:

Getting the 411 on what to do, product information, and all the files/resources you can get your hands on because you want to read, take in the knowledge, and run with it.

First of all, get out that great book that came with your starter kit! It is the spiral bound book called START LIVING YOUR DREAMS. Read it!! It is a wonderful training guide for you, full of information, and it also includes checklists and how to do your first Jewelry Bar. Seriously, it is an awesome book.

Next, study this file. It is called Points of Difference. It is important that you have product knowledge of what you are selling!

If you are on Facebook, please ask your Mentor to add you to your team page. Team pages are wonderful resources for support and there is a group of fabulous women who are ready to welcome you and help you out! We really love to help each other out. Please do not post anything negative on the page. Any and all frustrations or complaints, venting about stuff, will be removed from the page. No ARGH's, GRR's or UGHH's! This page is a grunt free zone! Yes, this page is for support, but negativity and venting just fosters the wrong vibe for this page and we want to truly keep our group page a happy place where asking questions, celebrations, sharing ideas, and encouragment are the main topics and posts. If you have issues or concerns, shoot your Mentor a message and she will be more than glad to help you work through it! Also, the Team page does NOT substitute as your Mentor! Please be sure to communicate with her when you have questions. That is why she is your Mentor.

***Pay particular attention to Origami Owl's Policies & Procedures***

I recommend you print this, three hole punch the papers and put this in a binder for reference.

Here is a great blog put together by a fellow Team Believer. It has lots of great info of what to do when you first start with Origami Owl http://helloowls.com/ (Thanks Sunny Brixey for creating such a great resource!)

Your backoffice or what is also called Revolution. Try to log in everyday and check to see if anything new has been posted. Your Mentor do not know anything before you do. Any news we receive is from there. The Resources tab in your backoffice has so many great files, photographs, and power points, and videos.

Webinars: These are great! Lots of helpful information. They are posted on Monday nights 9pm EST. Check your backoffice on Mondays to get the information of what the topic they are discussing is. It is not a requirement to listen in on these each week, but they are great to do, especially when you are first starting,to help give you ideas to help jumpstart your business. But I recommend to always tune into them, because any new company information will be done during webinars as well.

Do you use Dropbox? It is an online file storage website. It is free to sign up for it. I recommend you do this, then go to the Resources Tab in your backoffice and download all the files you feel will be useful to you and your business and then upload them onto your Dropbox. www.dropbox.com

Do you have a smart phone? Download the app for Dropbox. Now, at your fingertips, you have all the Origami Owl files that you have uploaded. You can pull them up on your phone easily for quick reference. And you can easily share the file, just by texting the link to whoever needs it. It rocks!

Marketing Yourself and Your New Business as an O2 Independent Designer!

First of all, order yourself some beautiful and high quality, pre-designed business card at:

https://flyersdirect.com/origamiowl

For marketing and branding purposes and to keep the company's image consistent and because the Nest said so, we can only order cards through this site.

Facebook:

Go ahead and set up a Facebook business page and share it with your friends and family!

Watch this video from the Nest: http://vimeo.com/73182972 password: oocall and fast forward to min 9:58. Great and simple instructions!

Remember, your Facebook page needs to follow O2 compliancy, therefore your page's name has to be Origami Owl- your name, Independent Designer

And that is it! Now you can add pictures and whatever you would like. Remember, the most successful business pages on Facebook do not only post about selling their product! They engage their audience with other posts. This may involve fashion, motivational quotes, and something about your life- after all, you want these people to get to know YOU as a person, not a salesperson.

***Remember, you are now a representative of Origami Owl. Please make sure your posts reflect the company you represent and YOU in a good light. Do not post anything that may offend others or cause controversy. We all come from different backgrounds, and have different beliefs. We all have our own story- that is what Origami Owl is all about- telling our stories, which are all different! As we celebrate our diversity, always choose to be respectful. We never know who is looking at our page.

BE A FORCE FOR GOOD!!

"Mentoring is a developmental partnership through which one person shares knowledge, skills, information and perspective to foster the personal and professional growth of someone else. The power of mentoring is that it creates a one-of-a-kind opportunity for collaboration, goal achievement and problem-solving."

Please feel free to contact your Mentor if you have any questions. We are here to help and happy to do so. Thanks again and the leaders on Team Believe look forward to getting to know you and helping you reach your goals, whether they be big or small.

Welcome to Team Believe! I wish you much luck, happiness, and success!

XOXO,

Krista

About Me

I am a Mommy to 2 great kids, Jaden my 8 year old son- the karate kid- and Mya, my 3 year old daughter- the Warrior Princess. I have been with the love of my life, Sye since our eyes first met, and the world stopped and all we saw were each other. Aww.... We all live in our cute, little, cozy townhouse in Fort Worth, TX.

My Origami Owl story starts with me randomly finding a link to the Origami Owl site on Facebook one day. I clicked on it and instantly fell in love with the concept. I saw on the site that this was something I could sell. I had never been in direct sales but loved this unique idea so much, that I decided to give it a try.

At the time, I was a stay at home Mommy to a medically needy child. Mya, my Warrior Princess had a liver transplant when she was six months old. I was in "extreme caretaker Mommy mode" for so long, that I craved to do something exciting and different and that is when I decided to become a Designer with Origami Owl. Being part of O2 has helped me gain my self confidence back, and realize that what I do as a Mom, wife, and now Mentor- it really matters! I am proud of myself and how far I have come and I am truly excited to be part of such an OWLMAZING team.

GO TEAM BELIEVE!!!

XOXO,

Krista
