the American Red Cross was put in Washington, D.C. on May 21, 1881. ever since it was founded it has been on the top of the chart for most of the people. the red cross is one of the first hospitals in the united states. many people gave blood to the red cross so the soldiers could continue fighting in the wars and for people that had lost a lot of blood.
