Harry Andrew Mudd

My Great Grandfather

A little info about Harry

Harry Andrew Mudd was an electrician who was born in 1909 in Missouri and died on January 25th 1967. He is my fathers grandfather which makes him my great grandfather. Harry Mudd was married to Virginia Collins who was born on November 7th 1912 and died in 1972. Like most women of that time she did not work or have a job.

Where did he fit in history?

One day after Harry Mudd died on January 26th, 1967 a blizzard hit Chicago with a record of 23 inches of snow leaving 800 buses and 50,000 cars abandoned. In that same month on January 14th there was an earthquake in Sicily that killed 231 people. Another thing that happened was that on March 14th JFK's body was moved from its temporary position to its permanent memorial. Most of these things are not often thought about then this time period comes to mind but I still think that the are quite interesting.

Other things that happened in their lives

Although many interesting things happened during his life time he also had four kids. Michael, Jerome, Kathleen and Pierce.

Michael John Mudd is my grandfather and he only lived to be 41 years old. He was married to my grandmother and without them I would not be here today.

Jerome Joseph Mudd was born in 1942 and died in 1995. His spouse is unknown which means that he never married.

Kathleen Cheryl Mudd was born in 1946 and is still alive today. She is the only one of her siblings that is still alive today.

Pierce Mudd was born in 1948 and died in 2011. We don't know how he died but he died quite recently in Alabama
