Safe and Civil Survey
Parents/Guardians of Heights High School —we need your opinion!
Our school is committed to providing a safe and encouraging place for your child. You can help us continue to make improvements to our school by completing a short online survey.
Parents with students in grades K-12 and all staff at every school in the district are participating in the Safe & Civil Schools Climate & Safety Survey. We want to know what you think, too. All responses are anonymous. The resulting data will allow us to see if the two groups—parents/guardians, and staff—agree or disagree about important issues. We will be able to identify what we are doing well and what we need to work on, such as safety in a particular location of the school, students’ understanding of the expectations for behavior, or communication with families.
It’s quick and easy!
- The survey should take less than 10 minutes to complete.
- It’s available online, 24 hours a day for two weeks— September 19th - September 30.
- You can complete it on any computer with Internet access—at home, work, or the public library (Cellular connections do not work well, but tablets and phones with Wi-Fi will work.)
- Just one parent or guardian from each household should take it.
- You can choose to read the survey in English or Spanish.
- Examples of questions are:
- Are staff members supportive of students?
- Are families informed about the rules and expectations for student behavior?
- Are student cliques a problem at this school?
Here’s how!
· Go online to this website.
o (Use Internet Explorer, Safari, Chrome, or Edge browser.)
· Enter the User ID: PARENT_HHS
· Enter the Password: J2K4A8P6
· Be sure you complete every page of the survey until you reach the final page that says “Survey Complete.” Then click Close.
The survey is available from Monday, September 19th - Friday, September 30th .
Thank you! If you have any questions about the survey, please feel free to call the school office.

Revolution Prep Virtual Tutoring
Don’t get stuck on another homework problem again!
Get your child the help they need, when they need it.
On average, students sit down to begin their homework between 5:45-7:30pm, and 91% of students find themselves feeling stuck and needing help. When teachers aren’t available, and mom and dad aren’t home yet, where do they turn to for help?
Revolution Prep’s Homework Help gives your students access to tutor support 7 days a week. With over 30 academic subjects, they’ll always have access to someone who can help them. Unlike other homework services, Revolution’s tutors aren’t just going to give your students the answers to their questions. Our goal is to make sure learning is taking place, and to build confidence not dependency.
Signing up is easy! Have your student log into Rapid Identity and find Revolution Prep. Once there - launch the app and answer a few easy questions.
Parents of Junior Students
I will be looking for parents of junior students to help plan and run Project Prom. This is a "lock in" type event that takes place after prom for all participants to have a fun place for Falcons to have planned events, food, prizes, and games in a safe environment. Traditionally, at Heights, the Junior class parents have been responsible for fundraising and hosting the event. I have started the fundraising by contributing all the proceeds from the Falcon Frenzy silent auction. Please email me at efilippi@usd259.net if you are interested in participating. Since this is the first year in many that we are attempting this event, I am okay with junior or senior parents help and participation to move this forward.
