After School Study Hall - Will begin on Sept. 13th
Students must have their own transportation home at 4:05. No sign up or fees required. Students can come as often as they need. Students are provided with a quiet space with reliable internet to work on homework with a certified teacher to assist.
Facilities Survey
In an effort to provide the best educational facilities possible for our staff and students, the Coloma Community Schools Board of Education has been engaged in a year-long process to evaluate our facilities, identify areas for improvement, and develop a plan to implement the improvements. They have held 4 community forums over the last 5 months to share their ideas and findings as well as solicit feedback from the community! The Board of Education now asks that you complete this SURVEY before September 26, 2022 to help them make their final decision! Your voice is important to them and valued! Thank you in advance for taking the time to complete the survey!
On behalf of the Board of Education,

NWEA Testing This Week
The scores from the test are used to develop individual and classroom level strategies to maximize every child's learning potential.
All students will test for ELA on Tuesday morning. Breakfast will be available before school and then students will report to their first hour class for testing. Students will remain in 1st hour until the majority of testing is complete.
We will repeat the same process for Math on Friday morning. The goal is to complete testing in its entirety for the majority of students to minimize disruptions and multiple testing days.

Using RTI Time to Build our Positive Climate
This week our students participated in activities to continue to promote positive connections in their classes with peers and with their teachers. The focus this month will be to develop a growth mindset and apply research-based goal-setting strategies to their social and academic lives. Together they will focus on creating classrooms that are connected and encouraging by helping students set and achieve collective and personal goals, learn from challenges, recognize their personal strengths, and explore their unique personalities.
Check to make sure your child is up to date on their immunizations!
