The Four PLC Guiding Questions
1. What is it we want our students to learn?
2. How will we know if each student has learned it? As the teacher, you can visually see who has/has not mastered content.
3. How will we respond when some students do not learn it? In your gradebook, you can enter activities & grades for remediation for a previously non-mastered activity and excuse those who have mastered it.
4. How can we extend and enrich the learning for students who have demonstrated proficiency? Based on grades entered, you will also be able to visually know who needs to be challenged to the next level.

ICU BEST PRACTICE TIPS
- 0 = Student took Assessment & earned a 0 (Zero)
- MI = Missing or Incomplete Assignment -->Calculates a 0
- Do not leave an Assignment Blank --> It does not factor into the grade and gives the student an "inflated" grade (especially if he/she never turns in the work before grade card time)
- ONLY use ABN if student is Absent and has NO OPPORTUNITY to make up the work.
