Kaden prepares for classroom activities by bringing his supplies to class and is ready to learn even before the bell rings. He takes part in classroom discussions and often
provides personal connections to the conversation. Kaden is an overall positive person and role model for others. He

Jacqueline Mootz, House 7-1
Jacqueline Mootz is an awesome example of a student who really cares about herself and others. She is a responsible citizen here at Jefferson who always makes sure that her work is done to the best of her ability, and quite often she will go above and beyond what has been asked of her. Jacqueline is involved in Mock Trial and according to Ms. Weber she is a key member of the
defense and she is working hard to research questions to ask her witnesses. Jacqueline is a respectful and resourceful student who has a passion for learning. Jacqueline’s classmates can count on her to show kindness and compassion. Jacqueline is always willing to work with others and makes sure that everyone is included.
Doug Saunders, House 7-1
Doug Saunders is an excellent example of a student who makes the most out of every day at Jefferson. Doug plays drums with the band, and is a mentor to 6th grade musicians. Keyanna Ralston, House 7-2Keyanna Ralston is a great candidate for student of the month for many reasons. She is always prepared for class by being on time and coming to class with all of her materials. Keyanna goes above and beyond to help out around the classroom whenever asked. Keyanna works hard in class and is willing to help others if they need it. By way of example Keyanna show respect for herself, friends, teachers and staff. Derrick is respectful to himself, his classmates, staff and his teachers. Derrick is responsible by coming to class prepared. Derrick brings his materials to class and comes to class on time. He has one of the top touchdown records this year in football. Although he is a tough and fights hard to win those games on the field, he also is safe in school. Derrick is a great candidate for student of the month because he demonstrates Jefferson Middle School rules often. Derrick is respectful to himself, his classmates, staff and his teachers. Derrick is responsible by coming to class prepared. Derrick brings his materials to class and comes to class on time. Tyler Lyons, House 8-1
Tyler Lyons is our 8th grade pick for student of the month. We have noticed so far this year that Tyler is a supportive
classmate. Tyler takes the initiative to ask teachers if he has a question. He also works hard to make sure that he completes his assignments to meet all of the requirements and goes beyond to put forth 100% effort. His honesty and ability to work with others makes him a great classmate. We are proud to have him as leader and stellar example of what a 8-1 student should look like.

Madelyn Peter, House 8-2
Maddie Peter has been a positive role model for our house and for all of the students at Jefferson. Mrs. Boxleiter
noticed that Maddie is quick to help other students in the digital literacy lab and does this in a way that helps the students learn rather than just doing something for them. She is patient, cheerful, respectful, and very involved at TJMS! She has joined several clubs and is always on top of her school work. We are proud of Maddie for starting out this year on such a positive and admirable way.
Alyssa Settle, House 8-2
Alyssa is our nominee for Student of the Month for
September because of the way she has offered to help a student new to our school
figure out their schedule, their locker combination and
navigate the hallways! She has consistently put forth a strong effort in all of her
classes, is respectful to staff members and students alike, and always has a smile and a positive attitude!
