Ms. Porter's Monthly Message
Hello Nob Hill Families and Community,
It is my pleasure to welcome everyone back for another great year at Nob Hill. We are all excited to have students back in our classrooms and hallways filling them with energy and enthusiasm for learning. I cannot wait to hear from the students about their summer adventures. For returning families, I look forward to continuing to serve you, your children, and the entire Nob Hill community. For families new to Nob Hill, I am excited to meet you and your child, and know that we are all here to support your child to transitioning to an amazing school. Our staff and school community are committed to providing the best educational experience possible for your child. Let us know how we can help!
It is our mission to help every child feel welcomed, connected and a part of our Nob Hill family. Additionally, we strive to challenge each student to grow in his or her academic abilities. We have great teachers who spend hours planning and creating classroom activities to engage our students in learning. Our teachers utilize best practices and student data to determine current levels and to set goals for growth and improvement. It is through this hard work that I am excited to share with you that we received a school grade “A” based on our student assessment results! Our theme this year is “TEAM- Teach, Encourage, Achieve, and Motivate”. It is with this framework that we will continue our success.
I am very happy to introduce to you our new Assistant Principal, Mrs. Susana Cruz. Mrs. Cruz comes to us with a wealth of knowledge and experiences! She is excited to get to know all of you and is eager to work with the entire school community to support the academic and social growth of each of our Nob Hill students. Please take the time to introduce yourself to her when you see her on campus.
We cannot do the work we do without you, and each year we strive to strengthen our home-school partnership. We encourage each of you to set a goal to become more engaged in the Nob Hill school community. Attend a Parent Night, take time to volunteer at the school, or join a school committee such as the school Parent Teacher Association or School Advisory Committee. We are fortunate to have a wonderful parent community, and your support makes a huge difference. Thank you for your commitment in helping make Nob Hill an amazing place for students to grow and learn.
The Nob Hill Staff is back to work and ready to assist you with any needs you may have. We are also eagerly preparing for the return of our students on the first day of school on Tuesday, August 16th. We look forward to seeing all our families at Meet and Greet on Monday, August 15th. Teachers will be reaching out on Friday, August 12th to introduce themselves. Make sure to check your voicemail in case you miss the call! Please let us know any way that we can serve your family’s educational needs in the coming year and welcome back!
Warmly,
Traci Porter
Principal
Mrs. Cruz
Welcome to the 2022-23 school year! I am honored to be the newly assigned Assistant Principal at Nob Hill Elementary. Your children are my top priority, and it is my goal to work together with Ms. Porter to see that each student succeeds socially, emotionally, and academically.
