Student Achievement
Seventh Graders Read at Davenport!
On Wednesday, March 4th, seventh grade students from Alder Avenue Middle School visited Davenport to read with younger students. Davenport students were so excited to meet older students in the district and teachers were very happy to see many of their former students. Students were able to see that older students enjoy reading too and that it is important part of life as you grow up. This was a great experience for everyone involved and Davenport would like to thank the Alder students and their teachers for taking the time to visit!
STEM Project with Mrs. Curtin & Ms. Tepedino
Building a Polar Bear Den!
Before engaging in the STEM activity, the students learned about the Polar Bear. The students drew a blueprint of a polar bear den and begin to create their vision using various supplies. What a fun time with a special treat of marshmallows to end the STEM activity!
