Harris Weekly Update

Enjoy Fall Break! Students Return on Tues, 10/12

How to Help at Home

There is so much valuable information available on our Harris website. We would love for you to watch the new “How to Help at Home” videos we posted. To encourage this, we are hosting a friendly competition between classes. The class (one primary and one intermediate) with the most surveys filled out by October 15th will win a PIZZA PARTY!

The videos will be on our website “forever” but the competition will end on October 15th. So, pop some popcorn and settle in to watch some awesome videos on how you can help your child(ren) at home!

So far the competition standings:

Primary 1st Place: Ogden

Primary 2nd place: Waclawik

Intermediate 1st Place: Stewart

Intermediate 2nd Place: Green

  • The cut-off time to pull students out early is 2:35PM (1:35PM on Weds) If you arrive after this time to sign your child out, you will have to wait until the dismissal bell rings.

What Does It Mean To Be A Title I School?

Title I is the largest federal aid program for public schools. Schools can be designated as “Title I” if certain criteria are met. Title I is the federal government’s commitment to closing the achievement gap between low-income and moderate to high income students. These funds are used to help all students meet academic standards. Click the links below to learn more!
