Join us for our annual Winter Festival on Saturday, December 12th from 9:30am - 2:30pm!


There will be wreath making, vendors selling local crafts, and a bake sale & tag sale! Admission to the event is free-- all are welcome!

Common Ground’s 18th Annual Wreath Making from the Farm & Forest
Celebrate nature’s ornaments with a beautiful wreath made from fresh greens, vines, pinecones, and other natural materials from the farm and forest. Hot cider will be provided- food will be for sale at the event. Wreath or swag: $8, all tools, materials, and instructions provided. 10AM -2PM.


Craft Fair, Bake Sale & Tag Sale
to benefit Common Ground High School, organized by our parents

All Common Ground’s classrooms will be full with local artisans & crafters of all kinds. There will be handmade jewelry, clothing, ornaments, keepsakes and more! There will be a tag sale offering a fun array of holiday items. In addition, there will be baked goods and food for purchase to enjoy while you’re at the festival or to take home. There will also be an area for children’s activities, so please bring the family!

Winter Home School Adventures

Join us this winter for any or all of our winter drop-in classes. Invite a friend – this is great time for new families to check out our program in advance of our spring session!

  • Wednesday, March 9: Maple Sugaring


Who: Children ages 3 and up with a parent or caregiver (no drop-off option available for winter classes). Program fee: $15 for the first child ages 3 and up, $10 for each additional child (ages 3 and up). No charge for children ages 2 and under who are attending with a sibling.

Connecticut Food Systems Alliance Winter Gathering

Saturday, Dec. 5th, 10am-2pm

On Saturday, December 5th the Connecticut Food System Alliance will be holding it's winter gathering in Bridgeport.


The gathering will explore how social justice and systems of oppression intersect with food access. We also hope to shine a light on some of the great work happening around food justice in Bridgeport. Join us for a story telling panel featuring local food justice activists, food, entertainment by Youth Creative Productions, the launch of our new mini-grant program and various workshops! We hope to see you there!

This series is being co-hosted by Common Ground and Neighborhood Housing Services with support from the USDA Risk Management Agency, UCONN, and the CT Dept. of Agriculture.
