Important Message from our Parent Teacher Student Association (PTSA)
Hello, Madison families!
As the school year winds down, we’ve got some really great events coming up. This coming week is Staff Appreciation Week. We want to recognize EVERYONE who makes this school operate as well as it does. This has been an incredibly challenging year, and we want to show our appreciation for those who show up early, stay late, go the extra mile, and are there for our kids. If you’d like to participate in Monday’s events, our theme is cards and flowers. Your child can bring these in for their favorite teachers on Monday, and the PTSA is providing some as well. Our goal on Thursday is to stock the break room. We’re hosting a potluck breakfast on Friday and still have lots of slots open if anyone would like to sign up: Staff Appreciation Week Sign Up for both days. If you’re willing and able to sign up, but can’t drop your items off early, email kmeguiar@gmail.com to coordinate pickup.
Wednesday night, we’re hosting a pizza party for our staff at 81Bay Brewing Co at 5:00, followed by our PTSA meeting at 6:00pm. If you want to hang out with your child’s teacher outside of school and give them your thanks personally, you can absolutely do that! RSVP here: Madison Middle School: Staff Appreciation Pizza Party (signupgenius.com) The PTSA meeting will be quick, but it’s important that we have as many PTSA members there as possible for one very important item: electing officers for next year. Our PTSA was just rechartered this school year, and we’ve been able to accomplish so much for our staff and students, and add advocacy voices for our schools as well. Some of the things we’ve accomplished include providing treats and decorations for our honor roll celebrations, providing goodie bags for every student before winter break, holding a color run that the kids enjoyed immensely, and providing meals to the teachers during three of the four conference nights. We’ve been able to assist with the 8th grade dance, the 8th grade trip, and staff appreciation week, as well as our upcoming awards night. These are just baby steps and we know we can accomplish so much more in the coming years as we grow and get more established, but this can’t happen without an elected board. If you are interested in serving as president, secretary or treasurer for the 2022-2023 school year, please fill out this interest form: https://forms.gle/NberEZkiyoDKbEv3A. You must be a member of our PTSA in order to serve, but it's easy to join! Just sign up here: MemberHub
We appreciate all of you, and are so grateful for all the support this year. It’s been an honor to work with you!
