Damita Myers-Miller, President
Graduated from San Diego State Univerity in 1991, with a Bachelor of Arts, Majoring in Political Science and a Minor in Africana Studies.
In 1993 an opportunity to teach in Long Beach USD presented itself and the rest, as they say, is history; serving as a 6th-grade, 9th grade, and 11grade English teacher. Acquired a Masters of Education Administration (1995) and Masters of Education, Curriculum and Instruction (1997) from CSUDH, Damita’s skills, and administrative leadership were recognized by district-level leadership.
In 2003, Damita was appointed principal of Lafayette Elementary School were she served for nine years. Additionally, she earned a Doctorate of Education from the University of Southern California in 2007. 17 years later, Damita continues to serve as a principal in LBUSD and supports aspiring and new principals as a coach. Dr. Miller has taught ten years as a lecturer for CSULB in the Administrative Credential and Ed. D programs.
Damita is known to her close friends as “Damita Jo”, loves to socialize with friends and be out and about island-hopping in the summer months. Damita has been married to Garry Miller for twenty years and has a 17-year-old daughter, Kennedy Marie.
Andrew Pierson, Vice - President
A 1988 Graduate of San Diego State University with a Major in Journalism and Minor in African American Studies. I am a member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity Inc. where I served as the 3 time Polemarch (Chapter President) while at SDSU. I received a varsity letter for Track and Field and was a proud member of the San Diego State University Black Repertory Total Theatrical Experience led by Dr. Danny Scarborough. During my tenure at SDSU I also worked for the Aztec Center and Open Air Theater.
Professional/Community
Currently, I am the Director of Operations for Jackmont Hospitality where I oversee the operation of 9 restaurants in Atlanta and LAX airports. I also serve on the Boards of the City of South Fulton (GA) Development Authority and the SDSU AAAC, as well as past Board Member of Habitat for Humanity (South Atlanta region). Also served as a mentor for a “fatherless boys” reading program at Centennial Elementary school in downtown Atlanta and Career Coach for the Homeless Shelter “The Rock.” Served as a mentor for an AA youth in the Big Brother/Little Brother program for 1 year.
Personal
Married, 20 years, and father of twin sons, William and Austin. Serve as adult Boy Scout leader for their Troop 1 Boy Scout troop.

Jaime Wesley, Treasurer
Jaime has been in the legal and accounting industry for over 20 years. Currently, she is an Accountant with a major Financial Services institution. She holds a B.A. in Political Science degree from San Diego State University, a Paralegal Certificate from University of San Diego and an MBA from Saint Xavier University. Jaime has a passion for community service and enjoys spending some of her free time volunteering with local nonprofit organizations. This has included fundraising, grant research, program management, and program development. Jaime has worked with the YWCA Future Leaders Council, National Black MBA Association and the Chicago Urban League.
In her personal time, Jaime enjoys skiing, scrapbooking, reading and attending museums.
Donte Wyatt, Member @ Large
Donte T. Wyatt obtained his Bachelor of Arts Degree from San Diego State University in 1997. He majored in both Political Science and Africana Studies. Mr. Donte T. Wyatt obtained his Juris Doctorate (Law Degree) from California Western School of Law. Mr. Wyatt spent over ten (10) years as a Deputy District Attorney and he personally handled hundreds of criminal cases. Donte Wyatt currently is a sole proprietor at the Law Offices of Donte T. Wyatt were he primarily practices state and federal criminal defense.
Mr. Wyatt serves on the Board of Directors for the Earl B. Gilliam Bar Association. Mr. Wyatt is the Polemarch/President of the San Diego Alumni Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity Incorporated and is the undergraduate advisor for the Delta Epsilon Chapter at San Diego State University. Mr. Wyatt is Life Member and active in both: the California Association of Black Lawyers and the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People, San Diego Branch.

Lyndon Earley, Member @ Large
Lyndon Earley holds a B.A., Degree in Speech Communication from San Diego State University; a Certificate of Entrepreneurship from the Institute of Entrepreneurship; a Lean Six Sigma Certification and a Project Management Certificate, both from Villanova University; and he acquired his MBA from Strayer University while maintaining a 3.91 GPA.
Lyndon is the Managing Partner and Lead Facilitator of Noble Man Enterprises, a seminar company that specializes in Teaching, Training, Personal, and Employee Development. Mr. Earley was born and raised in Los Angeles CA, and has resided in the state of Georgia for over two decades. Much of his business prowess was acquired while he worked as a Business Consultant for a Fortune 20 Corporation in the Atlanta Area. Mr. Earley is currently gaining notoriety, serving as a Client Engagement Manager for a Professional Services and Technology Company. His focus is upon Customer Relationship Management for major providers in the healthcare vertical.
In addition to Noble Man, Lyndon owns Purpose Finders and leverages a faith-based curriculum to help people to discover their Motivational Gifts. He is a well-respected Consultant, Mentor, Teacher, and a Nationally Acclaimed Master-Certified Facilitator. He has dedicated his life to helping people discover their life’s purpose and maximize their careers and success.
Pamela Thornton, Member @ Large
Pamela Thornton is Founder and Principal Consultant of Urban Land Matters, based in Los Angeles, California, where she supports economic justice, fair land use operations and responsible multifamily and commercial real estate development in urban communities.
A committed community leader with more than two decades of volunteer experience, serving on local philanthropic and community boards, Ms. Thornton received the Unsung Hero Award from the California State Legislative Black Caucus and 64th State Assembly District in 2018.
Ms. Thornton currently serves as President of the League of Women Voters of Torrance Area. In this leadership role, Ms. Thornton is currently promoting diversity and inclusion on local, state and national boards, commissions and representation in elected positions; citizen education to influence public policy; educational outreach and understanding of the new voting system; California Redistricting and outreach to increase voter participation in local, state and national elections.
A graduate of San Diego State University in 1992, Ms. Thornton holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science with a minor in Women’s Studies; Master of Business Administration, University of Phoenix. Certificates from the University of Southern California Ross Program in Real Estate; African American Board Leadership Institute (AABLI) and Los Angeles African American Women’s Public Policy Institute, (LAAAWPPI).
