Welcome Back Archers!

We are looking forward to welcoming our families back to Sherwood Elementary home of the Archers for the 2021-2022 school year. We are committed to providing academic excellence for ALL students! This year, our school theme is "Light the Fire Within," as our school is focused on accelerating learning for all!

We look forward to a wonderful year!

Ms. Marines (Principal) and Mrs. Olesnevich (Assistant Principal)

COVID Protocols

Last year we established multiple procedures to maintain a safe, healthy learning environment. We will continue to encourage this with the following protocols:

  • Hallway traffic patterns will continue to be modified to minimize face-to-face interaction (one-way patterns).
  • Plexi-glass barriers may be utilized in offices, reception areas, and classrooms.
  • Water fountains will continue to be restricted to the filling of water bottles or cups.
  • Clinic spaces will continue to allow for the separation of students.
  • We will continue to prioritize seating arrangements that minimize close student contact (utilizing CDC guidelines of 3 – 6 feet distancing); however, flexible seating should be used when it benefits instruction.
  • Seating charts will be maintained for classrooms and buses

Clinic Updates

  • If your child takes medication at school, please plan to sign these in with our nurse in the morning. Please remember that all medications must be in their original packaging with the doctor's instructions labeled.
  • Temperatures will be taken upon entering the clinic.
  • If the temperature is over 100F, parent/guardian will be notified if the student is too ill to remain in school.
  • Students that are sick are encouraged to stay home. (There will NOT be any Perfect Attendance awards/recognitions this year.) Students who are kept home by parents or school officials for health-related reasons will be considered excused. Students who are ill should prioritize their health- the school will support individual circumstances with an academic plan.
  • If students with symptoms associated with COVID-19 (loss of taste and/or smell, serious headache, nausea, diarrhea) comes to the school, they will be sent to the health clinic for evaluation.
