Book Fair!
The Joseph Beth Book Fair Begins
Monday March 9 !
We are excited to announce that the book fair opens in a few days, March 9, and continues through Friday March 13. It will be open each day from 7:45 – 3:00 pm.
Students will visit the book fair with their Multimedia Explorations class. Students not enrolled in this course are encouraged to come with a pass from a teacher throughout the day, before school, or at recess. You can send money with your child or come during that time to help them purchase books. In addition, we accept credit cards, checks, and "library money".
Shopping at the spring book fair is a great way to stock up on books your child will want to read over spring break or this summer, and help the school at the same time. It’s really fun to read anytime, but especially when you are traveling, sitting on a beach, or just relaxing around the house without any homework to do.
THANK YOU for encouraging your child’s reading endeavors, and for supporting the Greene School Media Center.
Happy Reading to all,
Mrs. Sloan, E.H. Greene Media Specialist
News from the Junior High
Hello 6th Grade Parents,
This coming Monday and Tuesday, the Junior High counselors will be meeting with your child to make some scheduling choices around Global Language, Music, and Electives. After meeting with your child, we will be updating our system and then sending home Verification Sheets that list all course requests. The Verification Sheets will go home on Friday, March 13th. Once you receive the Verification Sheet, please take a moment to review it. If you have any questions or need to make a change, please contact your child's Junior High counselor. We are excited to meet all students and look forward to having them with us next year!

Volunteer for the Sycamore Wellness Fest!
Sycamore Bridges
Did you know that we have a wonderful organization called, Neighborhood Bridges (also called Sycamore Bridges) in our community? This wonderful organization is made up of people like us! ~ People who live in an amazing community, with resources to help each other when we are in need.
Simply said, Neighborhood Bridges is an organization that "provides a gateway for kindness"
This year we have been able to provide goods and services for over 200 children and families in the Sycamore community!! And we continue to grow
Here is the update from Lori Drasnin, Area Director for Sycamore Bridges.
We have filled 61 needs, impacted 208 children and families, and donated $28,265.55 worth of goods and services since our launch! This places Sycamore in the top 5 communities of all categories for Neighborhood Bridges. We are 1st for $/impact, meaning we are filling very large needs and making life-changing differences in our neighbor's lives.
The more people on the Bridge, the better! I am also happy to come and talk to businesses or groups about our mission. We are always looking for corporate partners/sponsors too.
Thank you again for your support. We could not do this without you.
With Gratitude,
Lori Drasnin
