Principal's Message

I want to welcome everyone to the 2022-23 school-year. Our staff is excited to welcome all of our students back to school! Please read the entire newsletter as it contains important dates and information. You can also find a lot of helpful information on our school website.

We are looking forward to seeing all of our incoming 6th graders as well as our new 7th and 8th graders at Manning's Orientation on August 16.

We have added a "Dean of Students" position at our school to enhance safety, supervision and support of our students. Tommy Dowd, former teacher at Wheat Ridge High School, will fill this role beginning Oct. 3. Brenda Carlson, former Community Superintendent in Jeffco, will fill this role until Oct. 3.

I am really excited to be back in the Manning community and to work with all of you. I want our students to know that, as a staff, we are here to help them thrive! We want all of our students to feel welcome, safe and supported at Manning. Parents are always welcome at our school, and I encourage all parents to call me or stop in the main office if you need anything.

I'm honored and humbled to have the opportunity to lead Manning; a school with a rich tradition of excellence. My goal is for everyone to have a great school-year!

PTA Happening

Join us for the 1st PTA MEETING - Sept. 21st 8:30AM -9:30 in the library!

The Manning PTA welcomes you back for a new school year! Each year brings excitement and anticipation, along with the promise of learning and growth. Manning staff and PTA have been hard at work to prepare for this year and look forward to the many activities and programs we have planned.

As a parent, one of the best ways to become involved in your child's education is

through the PTA. The PTA provides a wide variety of events, programs, and initiatives, in addition to enriching academic resources & experiences. Our PTA does amazing things, but we
can’t do it without the support of our Manning families, and we need your support
more than ever.

Please consider joining the PTA to be the first to be updated on news, opportunities for your student(s), and events; knowing your membership also supports various programs. Membership DOES NOT require meeting attendance or volunteer hours, as we understand this is not conducive for everyone.

At the end of the school year, as a PTA member, you will have the opportunity to vote on the executive board for Manning's PTA for the next school year. Also, as part of a national association, your membership supports child advocacy efforts in our community, our state and the nation. Please join now. Membership is only $10 a person and you can sign up here, on the Manning PTA website.

Please stop by and say hi to us during Back to School Night on August 25th! We will have a PTA table set up by the food trucks.

Create or find a carpool to school!

Since Manning does not have any Jeffco school bus transportation, we have several families that create carpools to help each other out with rides in the morning and afternoon for students that live in close by areas.

Friday Enrichment

We get out of school an hour early every Friday, but we have extra-curricular options to keep our students busy until 3:30. Our Friday Enrichment calendar aligns with our academic calendar on a quarterly basis, so students can pick and choose different activities, or stick with the same one all year long.
