Economics Teaching Workshop

Share Your Teaching Expertise

As you may already know by now, we are hosting our next Economics Curriculum Night which will be a workshop titled "Alternatives to Chalk and Talk" inspired by the popular book edited by William Becker and Michael Watts. The only thing that is missing is you! We need your proposals. What we are looking for are presentations that will fit into a 20-minute time slot. It should focus on some teaching pedagogy or technique that you use in the classroom that has proven successful for you.

Below are examples of the types of presentations we are looking for:

  • In-Classroom Experiments
  • Cooperative Learning
  • Using the Case Method
  • Active Learning Techniques
  • Interactive Games and Role Playing
  • Using the Nobel Laureates to Teach Economics
  • Assessment of Student Learning

Approval of submissions will be done on a rolling basis. Once all of the slots are filled we will close the submissions form. The deadline for submissions is May 1, 2014.
