Volunteers Needed: Two Opportunities to Get Involved
Welcome to the Mill Street Publishing Center!
A place where young writers deepen their understanding of the writing process. The Publishing Center will motivate and empower young writers to see their books published and shared with others. It will inspire young writers to do their best work and boost their confidence as an author.
By signing up for a volunteer role in the Mill Street Publishing Center you will be meeting with students about their writing. You will then type up their work, bind it into a book, and help them add the finishing touches to help them celebrate their writing success!
If you sign up for a specific day of the week you will be assigned that day for the remainder of the month. This is done to ensure volunteers are familiar with the procedures in our space. A new sign-up will be sent out each month.
Please note: a training will be provided on the morning of Monday, December 5th.
Thanks for your consideration!
We are excited to open a limited amount of spots for volunteers to come to shelve books in the Learning Commons! If you sign up for a specific day of the week you will be assigned that day for the remainder of that month. This is done to ensure volunteers are familiar with the procedures in the LC. A new sign up will be sent out each month!
Thanks for your consideration!

By invitation, parents and/or guardians are invited to the Giftmart Toyshop where they can purchase new toys for $2.00 per toy. 100% of the proceeds made from the sale of each toy will be donated back to each invited school to fund educational programs.
Please consider donating a new, unwrapped toy valued from $20-$30 that is safe for children ages 6-12. There will be a Giftmart Toy Box located at our school from November 14th – November 29th.

School Reminders
Late students in the morning: Parents, please walk your student into the building and sign them in. A parent is required to sign their student in at the main office with a time and signature. Do not drop your student off and have them walk in alone without a parent. Students are expected to be in their classroom at 8:10 am with instructional learning to begin promptly at 8:15 am. Thank you.
If your student is being picked up for an appointment or your student is leaving school early for the day...please email their teacher and notify them of the pick-up time and if your student will or will not be returning to school that day. It is important the teacher knows the students schedule so they can plan accordingly. Please bring an ID with you if you're signing a student out early or leaving for an appointment. Thank you.
If your student is sick or will be absent, please report the absence via Infinite Campus or call the health office at (630) 420-6355 and speak to Mrs. Robinson. You may leave a voicemail if calling outside of school hours.
Label Your Students Belongings: Please label your students items such as jackets, lunch boxes, water bottles, etc. If your item is labeled correctly, we can return it to your student properly. Students can check for missing Items at the lost & found table located near the gym & multipurpose room (MPR).
