City High Update

The School That Leads

October 28, 2019

Dear Little Hawks,

Greetings from The School That Leads! The beautiful Fall colors are all around us. The view from the third floor of City High is truly spectacular. As the temperatures drop this week, and snowflakes emerge, our Little Hawks continue to work hard in the classroom and perform at a high level in extra curricular activities. First trimester ends on November 18. No classes on the 19th for a records day for teachers. Finish first tri strong, everybody!

The Little Hawk Named Best in State!

Congratulations to our student journalists and their adviser, Mr. Rogers. The Little Hawk was named the #1 news team in Iowa at last week's Iowa High School Press Association conference. This is a high honor-- an analogy would be a state championship in athletics. Awesome and well deserved. Our team demonstrates excellence in writing, design, photography, digital journalism, and more.
