A Word from the Administrators
Good Morning Families,
We are heading into our last week before Spring Break. Please send a note to the school through Online Absence Excuse Form or Email the Attendance Office if your family will be leaving for vacation prior to Spring Break beginning on March 13 so those absences will be excused. With the cold weather subsiding students are not needing jackets however our lost and found has many items that need to be reconnected to their owner. If your child is missing a jacket please remind them (and we will too) to look in the lost and found. Parents are also welcome to come up and look through the lost and found for any items that that students are missing. Looking forward to a great week!

SORA Online eReader
Sora is an online eReader application that Humble ISD students have access to through MyHumble. Humble ISD purchases eBooks through this platform and sorts them according to the student’s grade level. Parents should be aware that Sora also provides an option for students to connect to Harris County Public Libraries (HCPL), which increases the availability of eBooks. Humble ISD does not have the ability to restrict access to the book selections that are available to students through the Harris County Public Library system.
At the start of the 2023-2024 school year, parents will decide whether or not their student can access Harris County Public Libraries through the Sora application in MyHumble. Parents will be asked to make a choice for their student through the online Annual Update process.
For the remainder of this school year, if you do not want your student to have access to the Harris County Public Libraries through Sora, please complete the Sora Access to Harris County Library Opt-Out form and the district will remove access for your child. No action is required if you want your child to be able to access the Harris County Public Libraries.
If you have any questions, please contact your student’s campus Library Media Specialist.
