Happy Memorial Day 2017

Can you believe that it is already Memorial Day! With the 'unofficial' beginning of summer upon us, let's not forget the real reason why we have a 3 day weekend, picnics, barbecues, and lots of fun with our families this Memorial Day.

This week's challenge is to encourage your students, families, and of course, yourself, to thank a vet. Whether you see a military member at a parade, in the mall, or at Starbucks, express your gratitude for his/her service for our country.

Mark this Memorial Day as a "Remembering Day" and start new traditions with your family.

Below are some links to some Memorial Day videos you can share with your class.

I Think I Can ... The Power of Positive Thinking!

Thoughts are powerful things. What you think about today creates your reality tomorrow. The more positive your thoughts, the better your life will be. I hope I don’t need to tell you the opposite is true, too. Wednesday, May 31st is What You Think Upon Grows Day … a day to spend in positive thoughts and gratitude for the abundance ever-present in our lives.

Positive thinking can change your outlook on life. I encourage you to personally adopt a positive mindset and move from the glass being half empty to being half full!

I encourage you to help your students to think positively. Below are some websites that have some neat ideas on how to spread the positive vibe!

Happy Birthday to You!

May your day be blessed and may you have a wonderful year ahead!
