The Skipper Scoop

Week of October 8th

Another fall weekend flew by. The Skippers football team fought Kirtland Friday night and played their hearts out. A rainy Saturday morning ended in a fun and beautiful Homecoming dance and celebration. The kids were great and looked fantastic. The DJ went out of his way to compliment the behavior of our high school kids- another proud principal moment in the books. We all learned a few new dance moves and had a great time dancing the night away. Thank you to our teachers and staff who helped make the night special for all of us. Your efforts do not go unnoticed. Thank you to Dee Dee Palmer and Anna Coll for unlimited pop and root beer floats!

This week we are looking forward to Senior Night for the girls Volleyball team. Make sure you check out their hype video at the bottom of this newsletter-its pretty fantastic!

Infinite Campus has been utilized by our parents more than ever. Thanks for checking in on your child's grades and attendance. It takes a village! Quarter one is ending on October 23rd.

Looks like we get a review of summer this week...enjoy it while you can.

Have a great week,

Mrs. Rumbarger

Community Connect

The next Community Connect will be a meeting centered around the prospect of new school buildings in Fairport. This is an exciting possibility and the meeting will have a spokesperson from the facilities commission come and address the audience. I encourage you to attend and be a part of this discussion.

The Homecoming bonfire was a blast on Wednesday. Fairport's rich culture makes it such a special place for traditions like this. The walk down to the beach was lively and fun. The bonfire was HUGE and amazing. Thanks to everyone who helped make the night a success. A special shout out to Scott Hribar and his team for getting pallets and building the fire. Thanks to the Fairport Harbor Fire Department for their help, we could not do it with you.
