Together We SOAR
Happy Saturday! A reminder that May 27th is an early dismissal day for students. Students will be dismissed at 1:00 PM.
Attention 5th grade families.
When transitioning to a new school, you are required to submit a current, valid proof of your residency in Caroline County. This is in support of Caroline County Public School enrollment procedures and Maryland Law. No student will receive a schedule not begin the school year at the new school until proof of residency is received and approved. THANK YOU TO ALL FAMILIES THAT PROVIDED PROOF OF RESIDENCY!

Picking up a student
If you are sending someone to pick up your child, please be sure that they are listed as an emergency contact in power school and that they have a picture id with them. This includes anyone coming through the car rider line as well. Your child's safety is of utmost importance! Please do not be offended if a staff member asks to see your ID.

CCPS Calendar Changes
The 2021-2022 school year calendar has been amended as detailed below. Changes impacting student days are bolded
May 27, 2022, has been changed to half-day for students, with May 27, 2022, early dismissal for all staff.
For complete details of these changes, please see the news release (Board Amends 2021-22 School Year Calendar) on the CCPS website.
All school calendars can for the 2021-2022 school year be found here, at the CCPS website in English and Spanish.
A copy of the book will be displayed in the cafeteria, and our librarian, Mrs. Simmons, will read the book to the students as they visit the library the week of distribution. There will also be a flat Sylvia art project that Mr. Lambert, the art teacher, might do with students that week. On the day of distribution, June 7th, we hope to have the cafeteria serve spinach on the line. The Sho Go Mobile (mobile farmers market) would like to set up nearby so parents picking up their children can shop at the market. Since it is too early to actually plant spinach, every student will receive a package of spinach seeds to plant this fall. We may even do a planting activity by grade in the gym if possible.
