Lizards
Chameleons usually eat insects including other lizards, and most lizards detach there tails when frightened. A komodo dragon can grow over 10 feet (3m). The komodo dragon is very venomous. Geckos are nocturnal lizards.
Alligators/crocodiles
American alligators live in the southeastern part of america. Saltwater crocodiles grow over 20 feet long! American alligators eat fish, birds, turtles, and mammals. Crocodiles are more fierce than alligators. Alligators have u shaped heads and crocodiles have v shaped heads.
Snakes
Over 7,000 people are bitten by snakes in America every year. There is over 2,900 species of snakes. Snakes sleep in burrows in caves. Snakes live in a lot of places including forests, deserts, oceans, streams, lakes.
Fun Facts
Reptiles have clawed feet and scales. People who study reptiles are called herpetologists. Every continent has reptiles besides Antarctica. Most reptiles are cold blooded.
