Happy Valentine's Day!
When we reflect around the joy and the love of St. Valentine's Day, as a school we are reminded of 1 Corinthians 13:4-8, we rejoice in this love daily. As a community we protect, trust, hope and persevere for our students. There is special joy in this verse when we reflect upon it thinking of our children.
Next week, we will be sending a link for an Archdiocesan wide survey. This survey focuses on Climate, Culture, and Catholic Identity. We hope that you will take the time to complete the survey as it helps us to guide school improvement. There is more information that will come to you in your Friday folder.
We hope you will enjoy this week's newsletter and we look forward to rejoicing with you at our Gala next week
Enjoy your long weekend!
1 Corinthians 13:4-8
Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.
Love never fails. But where there are prophecies, they will cease; where there are tongues, they will be stilled; where there is knowledge, it will pass away.

Donate to TCS!
Please consider a donation in the form of a Tax Credit Scholarship! Remember to indicate that your donation should be restricted to St. Damian School.
Several donors have partnered with the scholarship granting organization Empower Illinois and the Archdiocese of Chicago to create a matching gift pool.
Every dollar donated to this program through Empower Illinois between now and Feb. 29, 2020 and designated to a school operated by the Archdiocese of Chicago will be matched with two dollars from this pool (limitations apply). The program will end when all matching funds have been depleted or on Feb. 29, 2020, whichever comes first.
A $5,000 donation will have a tremendous impact. With the 75 percent tax credit you receive on the donation and this match, it will have a net cost to you of $1,250 and will provide $15,000 in scholarships for low-income families.
After April 1, 2020, any matching gift program funds that are not awarded at a designated school will be reallocated to low-income students at schools with unmet demand.
We invite you to visit the link below to learn more and triple your donation.
