Virtual Learning Extended thru 11/30
Unity Day - November 18th
Parent Teacher Conferences
Parent Teacher Conferences will be on Thursday, November 19th from 4:00 - 7:00pm and done virtually through WebEx. Teachers have set up time slots to schedule these conferences to support our virtual. structure. To maximize as many spots as possible we are keeping conferences to five minutes a piece with individual teachers and 10 minutes with a team of teachers.
To schedule a meeting please click on Butler's P/T Conference Scheduling Document. If a teacher or team has all their time slots full reach out to the teacher or team to find a time to connect. When scheduling a time please strongly consider having the student in the meeting with you. We have found that the conferences involving the students are most effective. Prior to conferences, set aside a few minutes to set up a device with WebEx. Follow these directions to set up one of your devices. There are options to use a mobile device (phone, tablet, etc) or a computer.
Construction Updates
The Waukesha Public Library is launching a new service for Homework Help utilizing CARES funding to help students and residents in Waukesha and Jefferson counties. The service is called HelpNow and offers live online tutoring (2-11pm), a writing lab, test prep, study tools, etc. One of the many features available is students can do one of the practice tests for the ACT or AP tests and then connect with a tutor that can look at the test results and discuss
areas to concentrate studying on. You can learn more about it at
https://bridgeslibrarysystem.org/homework-help/ There is also an introductory video at https://youtu.be/5Zf424Wi31k. Students will need a library card from one of the public libraries in Waukesha/Jefferson counties to be able to access this service. The libraries will also offer temporary (60 day) virtual cards through the Cafe catalog.

DROP OFF AND PICK UP REMINDERS
Safer Student Drop Off Before and After School
Student Drop-off/Pick-up
Butler Campus
Parent drop off and pick up can be done off the half circle drive off Michigan Ave (Door #10) OR off the corner of Hine and Michigan Ave (Door #11). To help with social distancing and increase the traffic flow we encourage you to use Door #11 as this has seen very little useage so far this shool year. Please do not drop off at door #1 as it is no longer our main entrance and will be used for bus drop off only.
Dropping off and picking up during school hours
The main office has changed locations to the North side of the school by Door #10 (Michigan Avenue). Students dropped off or picked up during the school day should be take place at Door #10. Students being dropped off, will need to press the door buzzer where office staff will allow the student in. Parents/Guardians will not be allowed to enter the schools during this pandemic period. Students getting picked up will need a prior request made by their parents. Students will then be released when the parent/guardian arrives.
Blair Campus (6th graders except those students in QUEST or Dual Language)
Student Safety
Please remind students to use the crosswalks around Butler if they walk or get dropped off. This is for everyone's safety. Before and after school Michigan and Hine Avenues are extremely busy. We have two crossing guards in the morning and two in the afternoon. Parents please continue to drive slowly and carefully around school.
