Back To School
Supply Lists for Each Age Group at HTM
Get Ready for School!
Unlike traditional schools, HTM provides the majority of supplies for your child. However, there are a few things you will need to send to school with each child. We've provided Classroom Community checklists for you to make it simple!
For ALL FAMILIES:
- Due to the time we spend outdoors, you may send a small bottle of sunscreen, labeled with your child's name, to stay at school. We encourage you to apply sunscreen to your child before school.
- We use a natural bug spray made with essential oils for children whose parents have given permission (this is on the Enrollment Form found on Transparent Classroom). If you would like your child to use an alternative bug repellent please send it, labeled with your child's name, to stay at school.
Please consult the 2017-2018 Parent Handbook, found on Transparent Classroom, for further information and guidelines.
As a reminder, Thursday, August 17 and Friday, August 18 are half-days with early dismissal at 11:00 AM; therefore, we will not eat lunch at school on those days. Monday, August 21 is our first full-day so please plan to send lunch with your child beginning on that day. We will cover details about our back-to-school schedule at our Mandatory Parent Meeting, to be held on Tuesday, August 15 at 6:00 PM in the Multi-Purpose Room at Holy Trinity Montessori.
TODDLER COMMUNITY
Please provide these items which will stay at school:
- Indoor shoes
- Rain boots
- Rain coat/jacket
- 2-3 extra changes of warm-weather clothes, including socks and underwear, if worn (all items labeled)
1 small package of diapers (we will let you know when we need more)
1 bulk-size box from Costco or similar store (or 9 packages) of unscented wipes
- A framed 4x6 or smaller family photo (to be returned at the end of the year)
These items should be sent in each Monday and will be used during the week and returned to you for laundering on Friday:
- Nap bag (like a small tote bag) with your child’s name on it
- A sheet to cover the nap mat (a fitted crib sheet works well)
- A small blanket
- A lovie for naptime, if needed - please let Heather know if this should go home daily
HTM will provide a lunch basket for each toddler. No cups, bottles, or utensils are needed.
Please select clothing and shoes which are free of licensed characters and are compliant with the guidelines listed on pages 9 and 10 of the 2017-2018 Parent Handbook.
Very importantly, please label EVERY ITEM for your child. This will help us maintain an orderly and sanitary environment and will ensure the correct items are returned to you.
