Important Protocol for Travel Plans and Returning to School
In advance of the holiday travel season, with an understanding of Governor Raimondo’s request for individuals to stay local, and with the potential impact on school operation the following requirements apply: All students and staff are required to quarantine for 14 days after returning to RI from international travel or travel to a US state where > 5% of COVID tests are positive. The RIDOH provides this updated list of states with a COVID-19 positivity rate higher than 5%.
The 14 day quarantine is necessary since COVID-19 can develop any time between 2-14 days after exposure. It is also required since a single negative test only indicates that you are negative at that point in time, but you could become infectious any time through day 14. The 14 day quarantine is the most effective way to reduce the risk of exposing other members of our school community to COVID-19.
Exceptions:
1. As an exception, you may provide proof of a negative test for COVID-19 that was taken within the 72 hours prior to arrival in Rhode Island.
2. Self-schedule an asymptomatic test at a community-based testing location or through portal.ri.gov. Be advised that it might take several days to receive the test results and you must quarantine while waiting for a negative test result.

PTO Meadow Farms Fundraiser
Our PTO fall fundraiser begins today! The fundraiser is an important way that our PTO raises money that directly benefits our students and teachers. The fundraiser will look a little bit different this year. All sales will be virtual and items will ship directly to the student or customer. There will be no frozen foods this year. Unfortunately, frozen items can only be shipped directly to the school where they are then distributed to families by the PTO. Due to Covid 19 we are not able to distribute items directly to you this year. We are sorry for this inconvenience and look forward to selling cookies and pies in the future.
In person students will receive a packet with information about how to set up an "online store". For virtual students, information about how to set up your online store can be found on the attached flyer. Once your store is set up, friends and family can shop the online catalog and their purchases will ship directly to their home. If you have any questions, please reach out to me directly at HughColePTO@gmail.com.
Thank you so much for your support!
