Back To School Night Reminder

As we are returning to normalcy, we are working hard to welcome our school community back into the school. However, Back To School Night is really an event for parents and guardians only. Please don't bring your children to this event as it adds more people into the mix. We want to ensure that all are safe and healthy.

Also, please be aware that we're expecting many people to attend. Parking will be at a premium. If you can car pool, or walk, that would be ideal.

Finally, I'll have 150 seats set up in the all purpose room (cafeteria) for our welcome sessions there. If more than 150 people come to the session, then we will be able to accommodate extra people standing around the edges of the room.

BACK TO SCHOOL NIGHT AT UPPER NYACK

Thursday, September 29 at 7-8:30pm

A PAPER SCHEDULE WAS SENT HOME TODAY IN BACKPACK MAIL - WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 28. IF YOU DON'T GET IT, CLICK HERE FOR THE SCHEDULE WORKSHEET.

7:00-7:25pm

-Grades K-2 go directly to the classrooms to meet the teacher
-Grades 3-5 go to the All Purpose Room (Cafeteria) to meet with Mr. Dreves and support staff

7:25-7:30pm - Transition time - Grades 3-5 transition first and K-2 families follow after an announcement

7:30 - 7:55pm
-Grades 3-5 go the classrooms to meet the teachers
-Grades K-2 go to the All Purpose Room to meet with Mr. Dreves and support staff

7:55-8:00pm - Transition Time

Most families will likely be finished at 7:55pm and will head home at this time.

8:00-8:15pm -

If you have additional children in other grades and were not able to make both sessions, or if you'd like to meet a special area teacher, teachers will be available in their rooms.

Many people have asked for a centralized way to gather contact information of other families in the district.

If you would like to share your contact information to a grade level parent directory, please complete this PARENT DIRECTORY SURVEY by Friday, October 14. We are partnering with the PTA to make this available to our parent community to help facilitate play dates, birthdays, and other communications.

UPPER NYACK 150TH CELEBRATION

Upper Nyack will be having a celebration of the 150th anniversary of the community on October 1 from 11am to 5pm on the front lawn of our school!! CLICK HERE FOR THE FLYER. All families are welcome!!

We will be holding a time capsule ceremony on October 1 at 11:45am.

STOMP OUT BULLYING DAY - OCTOBER 3

Monday, October 3 is STOMP OUT BULLYING DAY. Please have children wear BLUE to school as a show of unity against bullying.
