Big picture

Teresa Suarez, BUSD Health Technician, Attendance Clerk and Office Manager at Vivian Banks Charter School for 30 Amazing Years!

"Ms. Teresa is a highly productive and valued member of the VBCS team. She demonstrates an unwavering commitment to the students and staff she works with. Her commitment to quality service is evident in her positive attitude and willingness to meet the ever changing needs of our school. Ms. Suarez works an assortment of duties at VBCS and demonstrates a keen understanding of each. She serves not only as Office Manager, but she also performs duties as a Health Clerk, Attendance Clerk, Counselor, Nurse, and sometimes even an Instructional Assistant. Ms. Teresa approaches all of these duties with a positive attitude and a strong desire to do a great job. She is valued and appreciated by our entire team." - Eric Kosch, Principal at Vivian Banks Charter School.

Brittany Wanzer, BUSD Health Technician at Bonsall Elementary School.

Brittany Wanzer was hired in October of 2020 as a Health Technician for Bonsall Elementary School. She previously worked as a Medical Assistant for five years at an Internal Medicine clinic.

"Brittany is a very hard worker who continuously puts her students and parents first. Her positive attitude allows the health office to run smoothly and calmly which is key during these crazy times. Bonsall Elementary staff and families are honored to have Brittany as our health clerk"

-Pamela Lopez, Office Manager at BES.

Barbara Turley, BUSD Health Technician at Sullivan Middle School and Bonsall High School

Our fun and dedicated Barbara was hired in August 2000 as a paraprofessional for all third-grade students at Bonsall Elementary. In 2009 she began driving up the beautiful hills of Bonsall to Sullivan Middle School to serve as a Health Technician and the Before and After School Program Lead. She is the wonderful Health Technician for both school sites, Sullivan Middle School and Bonsall High School.

"Barb is great. She is very level-headed in a crisis situation. She always has a smile on her face and she is a hard worker." - Dr. Jason Fowler, Principal at BHS.

"She is AMAZING! She knows all of the students at both sites and they come to her for physical ailments as well as to chat about personal and emotional challenges. She can step up to the plate and be firm, but there is NEVER a doubt that her love for the kiddos runs deep. She is efficient and caring and incredibly knowledgeable. Her communication skills help parents navigate the ever-changing rules. The extra paperwork and tracking and spreadsheets brought about by COVID seem overwhelming, but she manages to work her way through it with a smile and grace. I am beyond privileged and honored to be working with Barb Turley. EVERYONE and I truly mean EVERYONE LOVES Barb. "

- Linda Pipe, Office Manager at SMS.

Cecilia Rocha, BUSD Health Technician at Bonsall West Elementary School

Our sweet and caring Cecilia Rocha worked for 17 years at BES as a Bilingual Paraprofessional and Van Driver for the Transportation Department. After taking some time off, she returned to BUSD as the BW Health Technician.

"Cecelia is a pleasure to work with. The students at Bonsall West are always comforted and well taken care of in the Health Office. Our students may come to see her upset or in tears but they are always comforted by her sweet and nurturing personality. She has done an outstanding job with tracking and testing our students and staff which has relieved some of the responsibility from the office staff. I appreciate all that does for us at Bonsall West. " Joann BWE, Office Manager

Colleen Rable, Bonsall Unified School District, School Nurse

" Our School Nurse, Colleen Rable, is an exceptional individual! She cares deeply for the well-being of our students and goes above and beyond to ensure that staff members are fully prepared to meet the medical needs of our students. She is also very diligent in communicating with families and facilitating their assistance in providing the required healthcare support for their children while in school."

-Dr. Douglas Staine, Executive Director of Human Resources
