Thank you for your outstanding support this past week for our teachers and staff as we celebrated Staff Appreciation Week. Thank you also to our local businesses for spoiling our teachers and staff this week - Pizza Hut, Dairy Queen, Papa Johns, Jersey Mikes, Moore’s BBQ, Hwy 55, Bamboo, Olea, Burrito Shack, Jordan’s, Cainos BBQ and Pizza Forno! Please remember their support for our school community when you deciding where to dine with your families.
Congratulations today to Chrissy Taylor, our 2019/2020 Teacher of the Year and Lim Manriquez, our Classified Staff Member of the Year. Congratulations also to Justin Biggs and Aly Taylor, our male and female athletes of the year. Several of our Pirates took the next step in their educational and athletic careers by signing scholarships. Tripp Kidd will play soccer at William Peace College; Isaiah Rodriguez will play basketball at Methodist University; Caleb Allen will play soccer at Methodist University; and Joel Hunt will play football at Lenoir Rhine University.

Our laptop and instructional supply collection continues this week with 11th grade on Monday and 12th grade on Tuesday. Graduation will be broadcast on Friday at 7:00 pm on the Onslow County Schools youtube station: https://www.youtube.com/ocsmultimedia
This week is also Senior Spirit Week. Students are encouraged to post pictures and simply tag SBHS on Facebook. Students who participate will be entered into a daily drawing for a $10 gift card.

Saturday, June 13, 2020 is our Class of 2020 Motorcade. Seniors will be escorted by the Swansboro Police Department from Swansboro Elementary School to Old Hammock Beach Rd. Please come out to show your support for our seniors. Spectators will want to line the sidewalk on the east bound side of Hwy 24. Please be sure to maintain social distancing guidelines.
